On Wednesday, Year Three celebrated the end of our Roman topic with a fantastic Roman Day!
We came to school dressed as either Romans or Celts, with head dresses, armour and togas. In the morning we did some work with Roman numerals and then made clay pinch pots and coil pots. We also enjoyed cooking some Roman honey cake, playing Roman games and exploring the Roman artefacts.
In the afternoon we did some Roman art, making mosaics and drawing a Roman gladiator. We shared the Roman honey cake, which did not rise very well but still tasted very sweet!
