Roman Day On Wednesday, Year Three celebrated the end of our Roman topic with a fantastic Roman Day! We came to school dressed as either Romans or Celts, with head dresses, armour and togas. In the morning we did some work with Roman numerals and then made clay pinch pots and coil pots. We also enjoyed cooking some Roman honey cake, playing Roman games

Y4 enjoyed their Japan Day today where they did lots of exciting activities related to their topic of Japan, including preparing sushi and making magnificent carp shaped streamers (koinobori)! Photos here.

Year 4 have had a brilliant day celebrating the wonderful children that they are and learning lots more about Japan’s exciting culture! Similar to when Children’s Day is celebrated in Japan, we made koi carp fish streamers (Koinobori) which we took outside to see if they would fly in the wind.
